Fort Worth, TX (October 25, 2006) – Mike Kidd
Entertainment Group (MKEG) – one of the country’s leading motorcycle race
producers, is proud to announce the addition of the Team Fiber Wise Pasta/ Sano
Systems PPG/ Motion CycleSports/ XO Energy Drink Ready to it’s strong line-up
race teams competing in the BooKoo Arenacross Championship Series.
After a successful 2006 season, Team Sano/PPG is expanding. The team has added
a new title sponsor and has also added a third rider. The new name, Team Fiber
Wise Pasta/ Sano Systems/ PPG is set to contest the entire BooKoo Arenacross
Series with team riders Tommy Hofmaster, Colt Humphrey and newcomer Ryan Beat.
Fiber Wise, a product of Foulds, Inc., a 100 year-old pasta company from
Libertyville, Illinois, will now be the teams new title sponsor and will be
handing out samples of pasta at each round of the series. This is a huge step
for both the sport of motocross and for Fiber Wise as they have been slightly
involved in the amateur motocross scene for a little over a year. This also
marks one of the first food manufacturers to ever be involved in the
Professional side of our sport.
“We are very excited to be involved on the professional level of motocross,”
said Fiber Wise spokesman Jason Buchino. “This is a big step for our company
for brand awareness. We saw what these guys did in 2006 and believe in the team
that we have chosen to partner with. We are also thrilled to be showcasing our
“Fuel for the Human Machine” and teaching people about the importance of
nutrition and fiber. We believe exposure in endurance sports will help
highlight the importance of diet to athletes, as well as to kids in risk groups
for obesity and diabetes. Besides being incredible athletes and competitors
Tommy, Colt and Ryan realize the growing concern for proper nutrition in
America today. This is a great match for both of us.”
“I am honored to have struck this deal with Fiber Wise this year,” Hofmaster
said of the new sponsorship. “They are helping our team advance to the next
level and we plan on giving them some incredible exposure and attention
throughout the year. We will also be using Fiber Wise as a critical part of our
training regimen.”
Returning team riders Hofmaster and Humphrey will have a new teammate in that
of California’s Ryan Beat. The 20 year-old from El Cajon, California, will be
racing Arenacross for the first time and he is coming off of some solid
finishes nationally in the “A” class. He will surely be one to watch this year.
“Tommy has always impressed me with his racing skills, now he has gone out and
brought a non-endemic sponsor to arenacross,” said Mike Kidd, president of
MKEG. “We will work close with Tommy to insure we help maximize exposure for
his team and new sponsors.”
