Darcy Lange dominates Fresno opening round of BooKoo Arenacross Championship Series.
Nov 5 , 2006

Babbit's Kawasaki rider Darcy Lange won 3 of 4 main events at the BooKoo Arenacross Championship Series opener this past weekend at the Selland Arena in Fresno, California. The season opened with new teams, sensational rookies, typical wide-open-slam-bam racing until the checkered flag flew in each class all weekend.

Several young-guns showed up at the Selland Arena to mix it up with many of the best arenacross riders in the world. Friday night rookie Kyle Cunningham grabbed the 250 Motorsports.com 1st first lap award of $250.00 and led the main event until going down in a berm when he lost the front-end. Then 15 yr old sensation Tyler Bowers did the same thing as Cunningham in the 450 main event, with Bowers holding the pressure until the closing laps when Lange put his experience to work taking the win. The next young-gun to show the ‘Bad Boys of Arenacross’ the way to the winners circle was Makita Suzuki's Ryan Dungey taking the win Saturday night in the 450 main event.

To put the nights racing into perspective, Denny Bartz veteran arenacross team manager for Babbit's Kawasaki commented, “I have never seen the pace of any arenacross this fast for the entire race. These guys are flying and riding hard…it’s going to be a very competitive series.”

The BooKoo Arenacross Series moves this weekend November 10-12 to The Pavilion in Salem, Oregon.  Tickets on sale at www.ticketswest.com or for more information call MKEG at 817-595-5844.
